I not sure about this. A lot of Bioshock was you going through the city getting more powerful without the story progressing much. They’d have to chop the plot down with most of the more enjoyable parts missing.

To Blackout, most games are a lot of nothing. That’s why games are 40 hours long and movies are 2. Halo is a whole lot of running around and shooting but it’s being made into a movie. Gears of War is a whole lot of action without a lot of plot. It’s being made into a movie eventually. World of Warcraft is a hell of a lot of grinding but it’s still being made into a movie. Because they all have lore that’s worthy of a movie.
It’s just a matter of how the writer and producer execute. If they take the concept of this amazing, living world of Rapture away and put nothing but fighting and listening to recordings, it’ll be bad. Likewise for the opposite of having nothing but exploring.
I can’t wait to see what’s done with it. Bioshock definetely deserves it more than mostly all games ever would.

The Halo movie is off and on. It’ll come out eventually.
